Born in Bolu, Turkey Haldun Tashman is an entrepreneur who came to the United States, after graduating from Robert College of Istanbul in 1966, to study at Columbia Business School with a Fullbright Fellowship. Upon graduation, he worked at Deloitte in New York City for two years. Tashman moved to Phoenix, Arizona and became co-owner/manager of a privately held plastics contract manufacturing company called The Tech Group, Inc. In 2005, Tashman and his partner sold their North American and European operations after going public in Singapore stock exchange spinning off their Asian business in 2003. He recently sold Tashco Industries, Inc, another manufacturing business based in Arizona, to Andersen Windows.

As he was able to pursue a solid education through the generosity of others, he wanted to give back. As a result, Mr. Tashman has served in a leadership role supporting many nonprofit organizations with his time and philanthropic funds.

Since 2006, he spearheaded two social start-up initiatives in Turkish philanthropy: Establishing the first community foundation of Turkey in his hometown, Bolu and doing the same with Turkish Philanthropy Funds to promote philanthropy among Turkish-Americans.

Haldun Tashman currently lives in Paradise Valley, Arizona with his wife Nihal and guides TPF as a Trustee with his unique vision and valuable professional experience.
