Corporations are counting on their employees to help mold their CSR strategy. Employers such as Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America and more have pledged to match (or sometimes double!) donations made by their employees.
Microsoft recently announced that the Microsoft Giving Campaign has raised $1 billion in cash for more than 31,000 global nonprofit and community organizations. TPF is proud to be a recipient of these funds! In 2012, TPF has received over $19,000 from Microsoft employees! And, our total matching gift donations are close to $30,000.
That’s a lot of opportunities! THANK YOU!!
What does that translate to? Your gifts became scholarships for girls, youth empowering and adult literacy programs and support for disaster relief efforts. Your gifts matched by your employees enabled TPF to fund 13
projects in Van. These projects include building a dormitory for students, providing psychiatric help to children and adults suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and rebuilding classrooms and workshops.
We are urging anyone who wants to give, to check with their employers if they will match their gift. Raising funds can be done in fun, social ways, too. Microsoft employees run 5Ks, bid for cat calendars or play sports all to contribute to a cause. Here is how TPF can you assist you making your giving fun!
