Seran Müdüroğlu Trehan is a member of the Turkey Ashoka Support Network and is a board member of the Bard Center for the Decorative Arts and Material Culture since 2000. She has wide range of volunteer experience in women and children’s issues and in the arts.

Mrs. Trehan received her BSc Economics from the London School of Economics, followed by a Masters in International Relations from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. She then worked as a Researcher in the Legal Department of the World Bank, followed by many years in the Information and Public Affairs Division of Unicef in New York.

Mrs. Trehan was born in Turkish Northern Cyprus and educated in the United Kingdom. She resides in Manhattan, NY with her husband.
