Sabancı Kamışlı, is the founding leader of Esas Sosyal, the social investment unit of Esas Holding and a pioneer “Social Impact Investment Initiative” in Turkey. She is committed to social responsibility programs that create sustainable and measurable social impact in the areas of “Youth Employment”, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”, “Equal Opportunity”, and “Women Entrepreneurship”. With her innovative vision, she leads these programs and inspires key actors in private and public sector.
After she received her B.Sc. degree in Economics at London School Economics in 1987, Emine Sabancı Kamışlı began her career at Willis Corroon, a reinsurance company in London. Following her return to Turkey, she served as an Executive Board Member and Commercial Director at Aksigorta, Akhayat and Sabancı Holding between 1989 and 2000.
Emine Sabancı Kamışlı holds several board level roles in various private and non-profit organizations. She is a member of UNICEF Turkey Business Advisory Board, a Board Member of the Turkish Businesswomen’s Association (TIKAD), Vice Chairperson of TİKAD Investment, a member of Citiprivate European Advisory Board. As an “Angel Investor” in ARYA Venture Capital Fund, Sabancı Kamışlı also represents a leading figure for supporting women entrepereneurs and encouraging angel investors.
Emine Sabancı Kamışlı has received several renowed awards and honors for her visionary works. She was selected in “Most Successful Businesswomen” lists published by Fortune and Forbes. She was also listed among the inspiring leaders in the “LGT Guide to Strategic Philanthropy” with her achievements in the field of philanthropy. Sabancı Kamışlı was selected in the Fast Company Magazine “Sustainability Leaders” listed 3 times in a row between 2020-2022.
