His previous positions include founding and leading Sidar Global Advisors from its infancy in 2010. This role found him at the helm of a firm assisting a formidable roster of clients, including Microsoft, Kinross Gold Corporation, Hilton Worldwide, and the US Chamber of Commerce. He was instrumental in guiding these companies’ global operations and investments through scrupulous due diligence and strategic ideation. He also served as the Director of Energy and Defense Programs of the American-Turkish Council and assisted US and Turkish companies in their operations.
Passionately fascinated by the symbiosis of human-machine collaboration in creating content for business intelligence and media, Sidar’s prowess in this niche has resulted in him holding a patent for an “Analytic based connections among user types in an online platform”. He has also strategically co-founded and invested in companies such as Kapsul Media and Voscreen, among others.
Sidar’s influence and insight have garnered him global recognition, with features in prestigious publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and the New York Times. He graces stages worldwide to discuss subjects close to his heart, including the future of work, the importance of knowledge sharing, AI and human interaction, and the unfolding landscape of Web3.
His accolades include being named “one of the top 99 foreign policy leaders under 33 in the world” by the Diplomatic Courier. Furthermore, he was recognized as the most successful young citizen in Turkey in the sphere of politics and public service.
A member of the Forbes Technology Council, Sidar has lent his voice and expertise to both Forbes and Radikal Newspaper in Turkey, contributing insightful columns. His authorial debut, “Turkish Dream: A New Politics”, hit the shelves in 2014.
Sidar earned a MA degree in International Economics and International Relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, a Postgraduate Degree in European Studies from SAIS’s Bologna Center in Italy, and a BA degree in Business Administration and International Relations from Istanbul Bilgi University.
