INVESTING IN LEADERS AND CIVIL SOCIETY

The Best Practices NGO Leadership Academy is a leadership development program for nonprofit professionals in Türkiye, presented in partnership by Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF) and Arizona State University’s Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation, with support from the Haldun Tashman Fund at TPF.

Designed for experienced nonprofit professionals, the Academy strengthens the leadership, management and organizational capabilities needed to build effective, sustainable and resilient organizations that can create lasting social impact.

The program combines executive education, peer learning and practical application, giving participants the opportunity to learn from ASU faculty and nonprofit experts while applying new approaches to real challenges within their own organizations.

By bringing together nonprofit leaders from across Türkiye, the Academy also creates a community of peers who can exchange perspectives, share best practices and learn from one another. These relationships extend the value of the program beyond individual participants, helping strengthen organizations, build connections across the sector and contribute to a stronger civil society in Türkiye.

The Best Practices NGO Leadership Academy is being supported by the Haldun Tashman Fund at TPF.

“The Best Practices NGO Leadership Academy is an opportunity to learn from the best and bring that knowledge back to your organization. What matters most is what you do with what you learn—how you put it into practice, strengthen your organization, and turn new knowledge into a strategic advantage. Supporting organizations financially is important, but helping people build the knowledge and capacity to grow, create greater impact, and find meaning in what they do can make an even greater difference.”    - Haldun Tashman, Chairman Emeritus, TPF
