Turkish Philanthropy Funds is offering a hybrid Summer Internship Program for Summer 2026 designed for high school and college students interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, communications, partnerships, grantmaking and social impact work.
Each internship lasts 2 to 4 weeks and is structured around real project-based learning within different departments of TPF.
Internship Departments & Responsibilities
Outreach
Outreach interns will support donor engagement, data organization, and stewardship activities. This role focuses on helping maintain accurate information systems and supporting communication and engagement efforts across TPF.
Institutional Partnerships
This track focuses on supporting relationship-building with institutions. Interns will assist with research, outreach preparation, and identifying potential partners aligned with TPF’s mission.
Foundation Relations
Interns in this area will support research on foundations and funding opportunities aligned with TPF’s focus areas, including gender equality, education, and social impact.
Programs
Program interns will support internal program operations and data management, including uploading grants to Salesforce and assisting with the transition to a new internal file management system. - This area is only open to college students,
Communications
This track focuses on supporting TPF’s brand and communications efforts. Interns will assist with content organization, digital assets, and maintaining and updating content on WordPress.
Earthquake Fund
Interns will support the coordination and tracking of program documentation and reporting processes related to the Earthquake Fund.
AI
This track focuses on exploring and integrating emerging technologies to support TPF’s work. Interns will conduct research on artificial intelligence tools and trends, helping identify practical applications to support the Executive Director and organizational needs. Responsibilities may include evaluating AI platforms, summarizing insights, and recommending ways to improve efficiency, communications, and impact through technology - This area is only open to college students, studying computer science, data science, or Artificial Intelligence.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

Must be a high school or college student

A GPA of at least 3.5

Ability to commit to a 2–4 week internship period and a minimum of 4 hours a day

Strong attention to detail

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Interest in nonprofit work, social impact, education, communications, or global development is strongly encouraged
