6th Round of Grant Recipients!

Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF) is proud to announce that United for Turkey, Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), and Neighbors Link  are selected as the next round of grant recipients of the TPF COVID-19 Community Relief Fund.

With the Relief Fund, TPF sees its role as being the bridge that helps our partners and our community get the help to obtain the resources they need during this time. Accordingly, TPF has decided to fund the following projects:

• United for Turkey: is receiving an additional $14,605.88 to support Turkish-Americans impacted by Covid-19, including students with F-1 visas who are stranded in the U.S., Covid-19 patients, and families affected by the loss of a parent or family member due to the virus.
• Turkish Education Foundation (TEV) – Loyalty to Corona Heroes Project: The project will provide scholarships for the children of healthcare workers who passed away due to the COVID-19. The amount of $7,195 will be used to support 1 high school and 1 college student for 1 year. Additionally, given data will be investigated following the TEV’s Education and Scholarship Regulations.
• Neighbors Link Hot Meals Program- The program supports the low-income immigrant community in Mount Kisco, Ossining, and surrounding towns in Westchester County. These families will receive vouchers to local restaurants for one hot meal per day. The program also partners with local restaurants to prepare and deliver additional meals. Neighbors Link has already made great impact during this time by distributing  approximately $30,000 worth of gift cards to Target, Stop and Shop, and C-Town Grocers have been distributed to help pay for food, medicine, and other essential supplies already by the organization. Over 500 people per week participate in the Hot Meal Program; these are mostly individuals living in small rooms with no kitchen facilities. The grant of $10,000 will be used to provide hot meal vouchers to individuals who are unable to cook in their homes and in need during this time.
