Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF) is proud to announce that MAGIT and Çölyak Manisa are selected as the second two recipients of the TPF COVID-19 Community Relief Fund.
With the Relief Fund, TPF sees its role as being the bridge that helps our partners and our community get the help to obtain the resources they need during this time. Accordingly, TPF has decided to fund the following projects:
- Mathematical Power and Innovative Design Association (MAGIT), “Virtual Classroom Training and Services”: The in-kind support provided the 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students at Izmir Girls High School access to Microsoft Teams to continue their education online in math, biology, literature, physics, chemistry, and others without disruption. Girls High School have been struggling to maintain their education online due to the inefficiency and the limited capacity of the online platforms such as Zoom and Skype. With the program, the students will be able to continue their education in math, biology, literature, physics, chemistry, and others without disruption.
- Çölyak ve Organik Beslenme Derneği (Colyak Manisa), “Happy Children” Project: The fund in the amount of $2,402 will support children from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the celiac health condition. With the project, gluten-free ingredients such as flour, sugar, eggs, oil and more will be granted to families. The project aims to reach out to 45 families and the support will last 3 months.
Thank you for being our partners and taking immediate action to support those affected by COVID-19 during this time.
