Gulden Mesara-Dogan is group vice president, communications USA for Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA). She is responsible for leading the communications organization of Walgreens across the US, as well as the global internal communications and events organizations for WBA.

Prior to joining Walgreens in January 2018, Gulden served as vice president of global commercial and health communications at AbbVie, where she led global public affairs, communications and patient relations for all of AbbVie’s marketed products, pipeline assets and regional business priorities around the world following AbbVie’s spin-off from Abbott. Prior to joining Abbott as head of international public affairs, Gulden worked at Pfizer for over 13 years in communications, marketing, and public affairs roles of increasing responsibility. Earlier in her career, Gulden worked for Ketchum and Noonan/Russo Communications both based in New York City.

Gulden holds an undergraduate degree in political sciences from Marmara University in Istanbul, as well as an M.S.  degree in Public Relations from Syracuse University and an M.B.A. degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Turkish Philanthropy Funds in New York City and Supsan, a European auto-parts company. She was recently named as one of Mass Market Retailer’s Most Influential Women in Retailing.

Gulden is the proud mother of Selin (13) and Sarper (10) and recently published her first children’s book called ‘Mommy Goes to the Office’.
