Publicly Traded Securities
Donating appreciated stocks or other securities is a smart, impactful way to give. You may receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value while avoiding capital gains tax, allowing you to give more to the causes you care about through TPF.
Cryptocurrency
We accept gifts in bitcoin, ether, and other cryptocurrencies.
Contributions From Your IRA
If you’re age 70½ or older, you can direct contributions from your IRA to a public charity through a charitable IRA rollover. This allows you to exclude the distribution from taxable income (instead of taking it in and claiming a deduction). While IRA rollovers can’t be used for donor-advised funds, they can support all other giving options, including field-of-interest funds.
Other Retirement Assets
Make TPF your beneficiary. Retirement plan assets left to heirs can be heavily taxed—redirecting them to TPF or our partners eliminates income tax. This results in the greatest benefit for both your loved ones and causes you care about.
Life Insurance
Name TPF or our partners as the beneficiary of your policy, or transfer ownership to TPF during your lifetime for a potential charitable deduction based on the policy’s current value.
Real Estate and Other Property
