This past week, TPF celebrated the International Day of the Girl in a big way through two events with the same initiative. This goal was to educate girls in Turkey. In 24 hours, we have raised enough to send 18 girls to school for a year.

International Day of the Girl Recap
 “Change Birgul’s Life”
Young Professionals for TPF embraced Girls’ Education as their cause, and gathered at Pera Soho to raise funds to send girls like Birgul to school. Hear the Junior Board’s opening speech to their crowd here.
“Girls of Hope”
TPF and WomenOne joined efforts to bring education to girls throughout Turkey by hosting a screening of the film, Girls of Hope. Guests gathered in New York to learn the true meaning of hope through the stories of five girls who’s only dream is an education. Click here to view pictures from the event.
Together we are working for the day when every girl can stand up and say:
I am a girl, I have the right to an education.
All proceeds from the event will provide much needed scholarships for girls through Cagdas Yasami Destekleme Dernegi.
