Ms. Boyacigiller is a Professor of International Management and a former Dean of the Sabanci School of Management at Sabanci University in Istanbul, Turkey. Previously, she served on the faculty of San Jose State University for 17 years, and has taught at UCLA, UC Berkeley, Bilkent University, and Bogaziçi University.

During Boyacigiller’s tenure as dean, the Sabanci School of Management more than doubled the number of its faculty members and more than ten folded the student body. She launched several new education programs, achieved international accreditation and signed a strategic partnership agreement with MIT Sloan School of Management. An award-winning teacher, Ms. Boyacigiller’s key areas of teaching are cross cultural management and organizational behavior. Her most popular course among the corporate executives as well as the academics is a seminar on the cultural context of Turkish organizations.

Ms. Boyacigiller has held leadership positions in several professional and academic organizations including most significantly her role as President of AIB (2014-15). She has served the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) as a member of its Board of Directors (2012-2014) its European Advisory Council. In addition to TPF, Prof. Boyacigiller also serves on the advisory boards of WU (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Bologna Business School, Cyprus International Institute of Management, the Istanbul Policy Center, DLD (Change Leaders Association) of Turkey and the Independent Women Directors project.

Ms. Boyacigiller received her doctorate from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, MBA degree from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and her BA degree from Bogaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. She lives in Istanbul with her three children, Belkis, Esen and Mete.
