Ipek was born in Istanbul. She is currently attending St. John’s University School of Law in Queens. She graduated from College of Arts and Sciences at New York University with a double major in International Relations and Economics. During her freshman year at NYU, she has studied abroad in Florence, Italy, as part of the Liberal Studies Program. After graduating in May 2014, she worked at Business Services Trainee Program at Latham & Watkins. Since her high school years at Robert College, she has had a strong interest in community service and social impact. As part of the Community Involvement Projects program at RC, she has traveled to Nevsehir and other cities in Turkey to volunteer tutoring elementary school students in summer schools. She has also completed an internship at Turkish Philanthropy Funds during her senior year at NYU and became a member of the organization in 2015.
