Özgür Karaosmanoğlu is a Senior Vice President,Managing Director at Raymond James. He joined Raymond James in 1993, founding the Global Wealth Management Group not long after. Prior to joining the firm, he was an investment executive with Legg Mason and also worked with Dean Witter as an account executive and operations manager. He has served on the Raymond James Executive Council and is a current member of the firm’s Chairman’s Council.  In recognition of his dedication and service to his clients, he was named Broker of the Year by Registered Rep. magazine in 2006.

Ozgur earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degree in business administration from Tulane University in New Orleans. He is a past chair of the Tulane Associates Board, the alumni fundraising board of the university and has served on their board for twelve years. Currently, he is a member of Tulane’s Business School Council.

Active in the Turkish-American community and fluent in Turkish, Ozgur previously served as treasurer of the Assembly of Turkish American Associations and as a board member of HasNa. He is involved with many other nonprofits including Results for Development, where he serves as treasurer. In addition, Ozgur is a former trustee of the McLean School of Maryland.

Originally from Ankara, Turkey, he currently resides in Bethesda, Maryland, with his wife, Lori, and their children, Leyla, Alexander and Sara. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, travel and fine wines.
