Nur Hamzaoğulları is a member of the Board of Overseers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Previously, she worked at Discovery Communications and National Geographic Society as a product manager. She analyzed and forecasted the markets and worked on promotion, packaging, and distribution efforts to ensure the brand was presented in the best manner.

Nur Hamzaoğulları started her volunteer efforts while she was a student at GWU by volunteering at the Smithsonian Institution. Since then, she has volunteered in many different organizations, big and small. Currently, her philanthropic efforts focus on the areas of hunger relief, education, and medical research.

Mrs. Hamzaoğulları grew up in Ankara, Turkey, and graduated from Middle East Technical University in 1991. After graduation, she moved to Washington, D.C., to pursue an M.B.A. degree at George Washington University. She resides in Wellesley, MA, with her husband and two children.
