What are the selection criteria?
A key quality of the TPF is the flexibility that it offers to donors through component funds (e.g. donor-advised funds), which may make non-competitive grants to approved organizations identified by the donor. At the same time, TPF has the responsibility to re-grant any unrestricted funds in the most effective way and to educate its donors in effective and strategic philanthropy. TPF has 6 basic criteria that reflects the values and vision of the organization:
  1. Have the potential to expand beyond their current boundaries
  2. Have a variety of funding sources and use our support as a leverage to obtain others
  3. Are financially reliable and accountable
  4. Are community-oriented
  5. Can create long-lasting change to social problems
  6. Empower people
What are the reporting requirements from the grantees?
Grantees are required to submit a report of project accomplishments at the conclusion of the grant and an interim report during the course of a project. The due date for the interim report will be listed on the grant agreement. The final performance report is due within ninety days after the end of the grant period. Interim performance reports serve as a measure of progress achieved on a project and help to identify programmatic and administrative problems that may need to be resolved. Final performance reports become a permanent record of project accomplishments. Read more on the formats of the reports on Our Grantmaking philosophy.
