Ozlem Ozturk

Ozlem Ozturk, who has been a teacher for 15 years, is an advent supporter of human rights especially in the areas of conflict. After conducting a research study on armed conflict's impact on people's lives, she decided to establish "Association for Social Awareness" in 2008. The organization raises awareness on civil casualties caused by landmines in Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia. Targeting children between the ages of 7-15, Ozlem Ozturk organizes workshops at schools to teach them how to avoid landmines.
