Civan Gokay

Civan is a Manager in the Banking and Securities Practice at Deloitte & Touche. He has more than 10 years of financial and operational audit experience with the firm both in the Istanbul and New York offices and has worked on internal audit, compliance audit, Sarbanes-Oxley readiness and attestation projects and forensic investigations for clients in the financial services, consumer business and Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries.

Civan has managed various projects locally and internationally, including business process reviews, internal audits, J-SOX and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 readiness implementations, compliance and AML audits.

Civan currently runs the fully out-sourced internal audit function for a subsidiary of a global financial services organization, and his team conducts a full range of operational, financial, regulatory and compliance audits. He reports to the Audit Committee through the Head of Internal Audit.

Civan's experience also includes IT Audits he performed prior to joining the New York office. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and is fluent in written and spoken Italian and Turkish and speaks French and German at an intermediate level.

Civan received is BA in Economics from Bilkent University.
