Prior to Ashoka, Zeynep was Program Director responsible for International Relations, Research and Social Investment at TÜSEV (Third Sector Foundation of Turkey) which aims to strengthen the legal, fiscal and operational infrastructure of the non-profit sector in Turkey. Zeynep has also been an active member of the women’s movement in Turkey. She has and continues to provide volunteer support to a number of leading women’s NGOs in the country, working on women’s integration in social, economic and political life. She is currently an Executive Board Member of KA-DER (Association for the Support and Preparation of Women in Politics) and manages the organization’s projects towards empowering women citizens and activists. Born and raised mostly in Istanbul, Turkey, Zeynep has a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Cultural Studies from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
