The Goal of the Project

Happy Mothers Day! The best gift you can give your mother is right here. Give a gift in her name to show you care. #ThanksMom
By giving to the "Girl's Education" project, your donation will impact mothers and daughters, alike. Educated girls will grow into mothers who will treat their daughters as family equals, educate them, and let them grow into successful members of society. This all happens when just one girl receives an education. Act today.

While we may recognize the only woman prime minister and  the only women governor Turkey ever had; the women who make up approximately 26 percent of top executives in Turkey; 78 women in the Turkish parliament;  the two female Olympians  [gold and silver medalist] who have been motivating role models;  the increasing number of  women organizations tackling gender equality every day, Turkey has been ranked 124th out of 135 countries in the World Economic Forum’s Gender Gap Index report. Serious challenges remain today.

TPF is committed to addressing these challenges in close collaboration with a wide range of partners throughout Turkey.

The Impact of the Project

_______________________________________________________________________________

Women and girls are a vital part of any community. TPF works to ensure that Turkish girls have access to every possibility that allows them to fulfill their potential.

Not only is Turkey ranked last in Europe and Central Asia, in terms of Gender Equality, it is ranked 124th out of 135 countries worldwide. WEF’s report claims Turkey is the lowest performing country from the region on the economic participation and opportunity sub index.

We, at TPF, are taking a stand for equality. Your donation will support girls education, women empowerment groups, literacy classes and more. Keep updated on our list of projects here: http://www.tpfund.org/blog/causes-category/gender-equality/
